"New"-Judy Garland-Get Happy-"backing track at Soundback"

Did the people of the 40s need Meow Meow and other associated garbage or were they content with listening to a song to raise their spirits? Your thoughts on a post please.

"New"-Frankie Laine-"backing track at Soundback"

The answer to the last question came a bit to quick from Maggie Lennard so I am making this one a little more difficult. My opinon of course.
On Soundback.co.uk we have a track by Frankie Laine called "Answer Me" (appropriate I thought) he had many hits in the 50s that were associated with films but there is one specific hit he had that most would remember him by can you name it?

"New"-Thunderclap Newman-Something in the air-"backing track at Soundback"

Lost songs of the 60s. are there many of you who would remember a song that spent two
weeks topping the charts in July 1969 then slowly dwindled into obscurity. Who could forget an Artist with the name Thunderclap Newman and would this singer survive in the pop world of today?
http://www.soundback.co.uk/mp3/THUNDERCLAP-NEWMAN/Something-In-The-Air/6015.php

Soundback is going to do a feature on the lost songs of the 60s so if you think of one and want to know it's chart possition let me know I will see if I can answer the question.

Susan Boyle-You'll See-New"Backing Track at Soundback"

Opinions on the new track by Susan Boyle that has just been catalogued on the Soundback.co.uk backing track web site.
Firstly who sang the original (do you know?) and is this sad song going to hit the heights of her last hit Wild Horse's?

New-Rod Stewart-Higher & Higher-Backinging Track-Soundback

I love this bloke to pieces but can't understand why Rod is going all out to do cover versions of classic songs that don't do justice to his natural style. Who amounst us want's to hear Rod doing a New song that is written for him alone that would set the charts alight.

By clicking the link and buying the track you could give Rods version a sing yourself and see if you have the voice for this absolutely classic song.

New-Frank Sinatra-My Way-Backing Track-Soundback

Although stating New in the title this is not a new track to Soundback.co.uk or I would guess to most Self Contained Singers across the World in fact I would suggest that most people who want to sing have attempted a try at this track at sometime or another. The reason this song is sung by so many whether in or out of Key is that it personalizes with the individual and a joy to sing especially after a Bevy or two. So you might be asking why has this post got New in the title and the reason is this song will never get Old.
